In the modern toy industry filled with media-driven toys and restrictive play, my cofounder and I saw a very prominent issue first hand.
This issue is the social cognizance and critical thinking levels of children PreK-2. Due to this oversaturation and restriction, children four years and up are missing some critical interactions and now it is more apparent than ever. These issues are now no longer just seen by us. Parents and schools everywhere are noticing this shift in the industry and are looking for some way to help the children. So we set out to design a product that can help in the battle against oversaturation of marketed media and restrictive play in the young toy industry.
With a passion for toys and design, here at innovio we value cooperation, critical thinking and STEM principles. So we came up with innovio blocks, a toy that helps children four and up build their social cognizance that has been hindered from the state of the current toy industry. Our toy boosts cooperative constructive play with challenge cards that integrate basic STEM concepts, pushing for more structured open ended play than generic instructions currently allow. With innovio, children everywhere are now given the opportunity to improve their lost skills in a fun and creative manner while also thinking around design restrictions and parameters.
This toy is not only designed to help with the toy industries effects on our youth, but a new way to help kids for many years and can bring a new level of STEM and cooperation into the educational toy industry. This toy is a new present and a new future.
At our heart, we are designers who love toys and want a better future for children everywhere, and innovio blocks can help provide that better future. By utilizing the endless open play probabilities of a large scale constructive toy, and the engaging design parameters instilled by our own unique challenge cards, we have created a new form of engagement.
However, don't just take our word for it, in numerous play tests at a handful of elementary schools, innovio has already touched the hearts of over fifty elementary school students. But not only are the kids enjoying it, teachers of these classrooms have seen first hand the joy, creativity, and ingenuity that innovio can bring. This number is only growing as we progress through the educational world and we plan to reach out to thirty or more schools to really test and show the importance of our mission and our toys.
